How it all started

So, in the beginning there was Dan (that's me)!  I was a very outgoing and free spirited soul.  Friendly with everyone.  I had a very loyal and close group of friends growing up, but unfortunately hadn't found that one person I couldn't live without.  Then along comes Kelly.  I know this is a major cliche, but she did complete me.  They say opposites attract, but in our case, identicals attracted.  We loved all of the same movies, music, and tv as well as had very similar sense of humors.  I think that last bit was where it all went so wrong...or so absolutely right?

So, we tied the proverbial knot in 2001 and in 2004 our first bundle of joy, X was born.  X never ever slept.  He was always more interested in what was happening around him that having ant desire to sleep.  He didn't really start talking until he was almost 2 and according to him, "they haven't figured out how to make me stop."  We noticed early at about 2 1/2 years of age that he had a unique grasp of sarcasm and excellent comedic timing.  While on a road trip to the Columbus Zoo with his Grandmother and Aunt, after pulling over for about the 200th restroom break, he was promised no more stops.  Well as it just so happened, they had to stop one last time to get lunch before going into the zoo.  X stuck his head out of the car as everyone was piling out and said with perfect sarcastic inflection, "THIS, is the Columbus Zoo?"  He was grinning ear to ear saying it.

That one moment was the start, where we knew we were in for trouble and we haden't even thought that there might be a second kid coming who is just as funny.  The stories I (and possibly others, as they have touched so many people already) will be sharing here will hopefully make people laugh, smile,cry, or at least have hope for a bright sunny happy day.  I look forward to sharing all the joy my sons give me here with the world.
